Clinical Hypnotherapist

Dr. Kramer is a Holistic Chiropractor and Clinical Hypnotherapist who enjoys helping his clients/patients achieve optimal health and wellness through holistic health care. As a Chiropractor, Dr. Kramer focuses his practice on family (including children) health and sports performance. In addition to utilizing gentle force chiropractic, he incorporates these other beneficial modalities: kinesiology/muscle testing, nutrition, homeopathy, acupressure, trigger point therapy, cold laser, neuromuscular re-education, exercise therapy, and aromatherapy. Through advanced clinical hypnotherapy, Dr. Kramer is able to help his clients stop smoking, decrease weight, reduce stress, enhance sport performance, improve self-confidence, and manage pain (without medications).

As a brief history, Dr. Kramer is a native of Georgia where he attained all of his preparatory education and attended Berry College, achieving a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology/Health Sciences. While at Berry, he worked as Assistant Athletic Trainer. Upon graduation, he served as Head Athletic Trainer with the Elizabethton Twins (rookie league to the Minnesota Twins). He then furthered his education at the United States Sports Academy, receiving a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine. After graduation, he served as an Athletic Trainer and Exercise Physiologist for various sports medicine clinics, collegiate and high school teams, and work-hardening facilities.  For eight years Dr. Kramer also served with the U.S. Naval Reserves as a Hospital Corpsman & Emergency Medical Technician (Intermediate) and was called to active duty in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm in 1991.  A year later, he transferred to the U.S. Air Force Reserves as an Aeromedical Evacuation Technician where he served for an additional six years.

In 1992, he began studying Chiropractic at Life University. While in Chiropractic school, Dr. Kramer interned with many holistic health specialists which enhanced his interest in the many diverse modalities used in holistic health care. He completed the Doctor of Chiropractic program in 1995. Dr. Kramer provided medical support for both the 1996 Atlanta Olympic and Paralympic Games as part of the American Red Cross volunteer medical pool along with teaching CPR/First Aid for over 15 years.

He began studying Naturopathy at Trinity College of Natural Health in 1997; completing the Doctor of Naturopathy degree in 1998. Believing in the value of education and the tenets of health, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health & Physical Education from LaSalle University (LEC) in 1999.  In 2003, Dr. Kramer earned his Diplomate in Clinical Nutrition from the American Clinical Board of Nutrition and in 2004 he earned a Diploma in Homeopathy from the British Institute of Homeopathy. In 2008 Dr. Kramer became Clinic Director for A Better Way Wellness Center, LLC and completed Advanced and Master Hypnotherapist training at that time. This additional training has allowed him to add Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy to his practice in order to assist his clients who appear to be self-sabotaging their own health care and achieving less than optimal results.  In 2013 Dr. Kramer officially added Wellness Coaching to his practice as a means of offering a more holistic approach and greater focus on his clients' personal wellness needs. Finally, in 2014, Dr. Kramer received a Diplomate in Clinical Nutrition from the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition.

In addition to his extensive clinical experiences and formal education, Dr. Kramer has served in many academic positions within local colleges/universities, military and community education programs. Currently he serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Anatomy & Physiology and Structural Kinesiology at Greenville Technical College and as an OLLI Instructor for Furman University. Dr. Kramer also provides his expertise as a volunteer Sports Chiropractor for the University of South Carolina – Upstate.

Given the preceding and his commitment to global health and wellness, Dr. Kramer combines his diverse background to provide the community with a strong leader in the areas of holistic health care and community health education.
